Whitmore's Virtual Sports Day

The annual Whitmore Sports Day that took place during activities week this year was slightly different from the usual extravaganza held at Bannisters. The school closure meant that activities were adapted to challenge the pupils in 5 events: Alternate ball throw, Speed bounce, 30m sprint, plank hold, press up challenge, which they were asked to complete at home and then send in their results in their daily email to their form tutor. Pupils were also asked to design a banner for their form. These would normally be made in school and paraded at the start of Sports day and those judged the best would receive points for their class.

The winning entrants for both the activities and banner competition received a £5 Amazon voucher and are named below. Congratulations to all those pupils who took part and really embraced our "Virtual Sports Day." The banner designs are currently on display in the PE corridor.

An example from each year group of the excellent banners that were created;
