Jack Petchey Awards Ceremony
On Friday 24th February 2017, our ten 2016 Jack Petchey winners (nine students and one staff member), along with their family and friends, attended a prestigious awards ceremony at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth to formally celebrate their contributions to the school and wider community.
Warm congratulations to all of our winners for their fantastic achievement.
The winners and their contributions:
Pei Hsuan Lim (12PT) - for her contribution to the library in her role as Senior Librarian.
Moses Shungu (Alumni) - for rushing to the aid of an unwell gentleman outside of school.
Russl Habib (11SA) – for her role as a Whitmore Student Advisor (formally known as Anti-Bullying Advocate.)
Sarah Shaikh (8ZA) – for her contribution to the library in her role as Senior Librarian.
Swostika Bhandari (10HA) – for the support she gives to numerous students on a daily basis.
Priyanka Mistry (11BU) – for her superb resilience and determination within school and the wider community.
Makeda Warrington (10DL) – for her role as a Whitmore Student Advisor (formally known as a Student Peer Advisor).
Peter Seldon (12RO) – for assisting with Year 7 and 8 football training.
Manas Joshi (11HR) – for his continued determination and enthusiasm for his studies despite losing his sight.
Mrs Anglo – for her unrelenting commitment to the role of Exam Secretary and the continuous support she gives to students, parents/carers and staff.
