Celebrating Diversity
This year, Whitmore High School honoured Black History Month with the theme ‘Celebrating Diversity’.
During October, students from every year group were able to engage with our celebration of diversity each morning during their morning registration. They were presented with facts and general knowledge questions about a country or Black person of significance, such as Stormzy; the first black solo artist on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury and Sara Forbes Bonetta; the goddaughter of Queen Victoria.
Students were given the opportunity to participate in a school-wide Art competition based on our theme ‘Celebrating Diversity’. Students from various year groups entered the competition with amazing art work which represented their interpretation of our theme. Congratulations to the winners;
