Work Related Learning Year 10 Interview Experience
Representatives from local industry, universities, colleges and other major organisations attended school to give mock interviews to our Year 10 students. This included a number of our ex-students who are now working for employers such as KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Thames Water, the Financial Conduct Authority and Abbey Road Studios.
The aim of the event is to give students an opportunity to experience a formal work related, professional interview. This is designed to boost their confidence and help them with their preparation for employment and higher education interviews. Each advisor discussed the student’s CV and gave advice on how to improve the content and its presentation.
We were also able to offer interviews to some Year 12 students and they were interviewed by advisors in the professions they want to pursue in the future. These students saw experts in: engineering, computer science, banking and finance, science, and local universities.
