Year 7 Trip To Sky Up Academy Studios
Year 7 students recently had the exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes at Sky Studios where the magic of broadcasting came to life. They stepped into the world of television production, gaining first hand insight into the realm of media and news reporting.
Upon arrival, the students were taken on a behind the scenes tour of the studios. They then went to bespoke TV studios where they learned how to use cutting edge digital technology to create their own news content on the topic of young people voting from the age of 16. They stepped onto the set, assuming the roles of reporters, directors, producers, camera operators and even guest interviewers. They experienced the thrill of live broadcasting, delivering news segments with confidence and flair.
The experience supported their learning within the national curriculum, igniting their imagination and sparking a deeper understanding of the media industry and the skills required to bring captivating stories to screens, such as the importance of teamwork and coordination between all involved.
