Year 7 Geography Field Trip

We are thrilled to announce that a group of Year 7 students had an enriching and educational field trip to the Amersham Field Studies Centre (FSC) on Monday, 19th June 2023. This outing was organized as part of our Geography curriculum, and it provided the students with a hands-on learning experience in a real-world setting.

At the Amersham FSC, our students had the opportunity to explore and engage with various geographical concepts as they studied the River Wye near High Wycombe. They participated in a range of activities, including measuring the river width, river depth, and river velocity led by experienced field instructors. The students gained practical knowledge about river changes downstream, hypothesis testing, and the impact of human activities on ecosystems. They also developed important skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and data collection techniques.

Overall, the Year 7 Geography field trip to Amersham Field Studies Centre was a resounding success. We would like to say thank you to the staff at the FSC and to the students who impressed everyone with their attitude and conduct on the trip. We are confident that this experience has deepened their understanding of Geography and got them ready for their geographical studies in Year 8 and GCSE.

Well done to: Reuben, Arjun, Cosmina, Nevra, Dinura, Rehan, Fatma, Maya, Hassan, Yousef, Kevin, Joram, Kejsi and Mrs O’Mahony
