Sixth Form Open Evening - Next Steps to Success!
Whitmore recently hosted it’s annual Sixth Form Open Evening, welcoming a large number of Year 11 students, from both Whitmore and schools in the local area. The event offered a fantastic opportunity for students to explore their potential A-Level and BTEC subject choices.
Throughout the evening Year 11 students had the chance to engage with the current Sixth Form students from Years 12 and 13, who provided first-hand insight into the subjects on offer and the Sixth Form experience. Teaching staff were also available to answer questions and give detailed guidance about course content and expectations.
A highlight of the evening was the inspiring talk given by our Headteacher, Mr. Rebbitt and Head of Sixth Form, Mr. Badu Amoah. Their speeches provided invaluable information about the opportunities available at Whitmore’s Sixth Form, emphasizing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and personal development.
The event was well attended, with a strong sense of excitement about the next steps in students’ educational journeys. With so much interest from both Whitmore students and others in the local area, the Sixth Form at Whitmore High School continues to be a popular choice for post-16 education.
