Tech-ing It to the Next Level: Year 10âs RMT Creations
Over the past two terms, our Year 10 GCSE RMT students have been on an exciting journey of creativity and innovation.
They have tackled a wide range of projects that have allowed them to sharpen their skills in design, analysis, electronics, practical craftsmanship, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). From concept to creation, students have brought their ideas to life - producing everything from unique clocks and speaker boxes to intricate CAD/CAM maze games.
Through hands-on experimentation with cardboard modelling and the iterative design process, they have developed their ideas into fully realised final products. Along the way, they have mastered techniques such as line bending, jig and former production, and soldering, thus gaining valuable experience and confidence in each area.
Below are just a few examples of the amazing design work and outstanding products that have come out of these projects.
The Design & Technology department would like to congratulate all our students for their dedication, creativity and hard work. You have truly impressed us!
