Practical Anatomy Lessons Inspire BTEC Sport Students
Students studying the BTEC Level 3 Sport course recently had the exciting opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom through an engaging and memorable heart and lung dissection workshop. The session offered a powerful insight into human anatomy, enabling students to explore the structure and function of these vital organs in a practical, real-world context.
Led by the excellent Mrs. Aguda, the workshop allowed students to examine real organs up close and deepen their understanding of how the heart and lungs work together particularly during physical activity. The session was further enriched by the presence of a medical student who shared valuable insights and provided links to real-life careers and experiences within the healthcare field.
Overall, the hands-on experience brought classroom learning to life helping students make meaningful connections between theory and practice while inspiring future pathways in sport and medical sciences.
