Season of Giving: Whitmore’s Charity Appeal 2025

As part of our commitment to the local community, we have again been encouraging students to bring in donations to support local causes over the festive period. Students in Years 7, 9, 11 and 13 have been bringing food items for our local food bank, with students in Years 8, 10 and 12 bringing gifts for the Children’s Paediatric wing at Northwick Park Hospital.

Trussell (formerly The Trussell Trust) are an anti-poverty charity who run a community of food banks. Their aim is to work together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive, while providing food and practical support to people left without enough money to live on. Now celebrating 25 years of working in local communities, the charity runs 1,400 food bank locations, working with 36,000 volunteers, 100,000s of community groups and schools, and millions of people around the UK. Last year, the Trussell community of food banks distributed 2.9 million emergency food parcels. Food banks provide a lifeline for so many people facing hardship. By donating food items, we can help to support this important cause. If you would like to find out more about the work of the Trussell charity and local food banks, please visit their website www.trussell.org.uk

Thank you for all of your donations, both toys and food items. The local food bank and Northwick Park Hospital are always extremely grateful to receive your generous gifts.
